My Teaching Philosophy
Most people pick up the guitar so that they can play...what? Scales? Finger exercises? Chord drills? Nope! Most people want to learn how to play SONGS! I am all about teaching you SONGS. While I think music theory, scales and finger exercises are important, when I teach beginners, I start with helping you learn how to play songs FIRST. Once you have learned how to make chords, switch chords and strum, then we build upon the knowledge of your musical skills by slowly adding theory.
