AWAKEN 2013. BELIEVE
Hello friends.
This will be my 3rd and potentially final year going to Belize. Those of you who have supported me in the past or heard about this trip know that I travel to Belize each July to lead worship for the Awaken Belize conference in Independence, Belize. We partner with the Independence Worship Center and missionaries Emilio and Liz Zabaneh to make this young adult conference happen. Each year, hundreds of students attend, the gospel is preached, people are healed and lives are changed by the power of God.Belize has one of the fastest growing AIDS rates in the world and the violence there is getting worse. The younger generation needs an divine intervention to turn things around. I get to be a small part of that by heading up the worship for Awaken. This is a transition year in which we hand over the reigns to the local Belizeans in staffing and executing this powerful annual event that began in 2010. Instead of a large team from the States, we will be bringing a small support team to assist in training and making this event happen as the local church runs this event. I will be the only person from America on the worship team comprised of Belizeans this year. This is such an exciting thing for me, to see God raise up leaders and worshipers in Belize. I cannot wait to worship with my friends and the youth of Belize and see God change lives once again this year.
So how can you help be a part of this? I'm raising support for just myself this year. I'll be traveling down a week before the Awaken conference to do rehearsals with the Belizean worship team. The cost of the trip will be $1,200 for airfare, food, lodging and ground transportation. I need to raise money to purchase airfare immediately, so I've decided to a do a TEN DAY fundraiser that has incentives for you as my supporter. For each person that gives $15, you'll get a handmade guitar string bracelet. For every $30 that is donated you will get my "Singular Thing" EP with 4 of my songs on CD. For every $50 donation, you will get a combo gift of a custom handmade guitar string bracelet and my EP CD. For every $100 donation, you will receive a guitar string bracelet, my EP and a guitar pick necklace. For a $200 donation, I will do a house concert for you.
